Will the DXF actually open in my CAM?
It is written to. The main DXF is R12 (AC1009) with closed POLYLINE outlines whose curves are true arcs, counters kept, no splines or live text, cropped to the date at 1:1 in inches — a conservative flavor that sign software such as Gerber OMEGA, Graphtec Cutting Master, FlexiSIGN and SignLab generally handles well. There is also an R2010 DXF with units set for CAD and CAM, plus EPS, PLT, PDF and SVG. Download the sample and open it on your own machine.
How accurate are the dimensions?
You enter the stone’s width and height and set the four corners of the polished face, which squares the photo to the stone’s true proportions. A coin or card in the frame works when you don’t have the stone size. In our tests on sample images, letter size was typically within about 1%. Results on real stones depend on the photo and the measurements you enter, so always check the outline on your photo and the 1:1 PDF against the stone before cutting.
What about the font on the existing stone?
We detect the style as a starting suggestion. You override it before the preview is generated. The detected family is informational; the final file uses whatever font you (or the family) confirm.
Do you contact my customers?
No. Monumize is a tool for your shop. You keep the family relationship, the quote, the cemetery approval and the schedule. We never contact your families, quote jobs or sell add-ons; a family only hears from us if they write to us first. The placement sheet, PDF and family proof link are yours to share if you want a sign-off.
Can I do several stones from one cemetery visit?
Yes. Start a job for each stone you photographed. Each job is matched, checked and paid for separately, and all of them stay in your dashboard.
What does it cost?
Monumize charges your shop $49 per job, plus sales tax where it applies, paid by card when you download. That covers every file format and any re-renders for that stone. You quote the family for the cutting work as you always have, and can pass the $49 through as a line item.
